ABOUT US
Samba Futsal Academy was founded in 2010 by ex-Wellington Phoenix players, Daniel and Diego who both had a strong Futsal background while growing up in Brazil. When they left New Zealand, they handed over Samba Futsal Academy to Head Coach, Enrico Meirelles who also grew up in Brazil playing and coaching futsal. Samba Futsal brings Brazilian-style futsal to New Zealand and develops young Kiwi players into tomorrow’s great football/futsal legends.
Samba Futsal Academy runs futsal training sessions for 6-19 year olds, and provides a pathway for young players to develop their skills to represent Capital Futsal and New Zealand. We also enter teams into the Capital Futsal leagues.
Our team of professional coaches strive to deliver high quality training sessions and welcome feedback from our players and their parents/ caregivers.

OUR MISSION
At Samba Futsal Academy, our mission is to bring the flair of Brazilian-style futsal to New Zealand, working on the development of young Kiwi players (6 years to 19 years) while having fun in an enjoyable and safe environment.
No matter how much futsal or football experience a young player has, we aim to improve their level of skill and knowledge of the sport. From teaching the fundamentals of futsal to developing an individual's confidence and improving the performance of the more experience junior players. Everyone stands to benefit.
The Academy's futsal development programmes have been specifically tailored by Head Coach, Enrico Meirelles to meet requirements of different player age group levels. Enrico and his team of highly skilled futsal coaches will instruct each training session.
